1. The short version
- We collect account details, chats, images, billing records, and technical information to run and protect DreamEdit.
- Your chats and images are not publicly listed. Service providers, including AI providers, process them to deliver the service.
- You can contact us to access, correct, or request deletion of your information.
2. What we collect
- Account: your name, email, sign-in information, preferences, and trial eligibility records. If you use an external sign-in service, we receive your account identifier and available profile information, such as your name, email, and profile picture.
- Content: messages, uploads, results, model settings, and support correspondence. Files can contain names, location, camera details, or other embedded information. Do not assume we strip it.
- Billing: subscription status, credit purchases and use, and transaction records. Payment processors collect payment and billing details; we do not store your full card number.
- Technical: IP address, browser and device information, sign-in activity, abuse-prevention records, and service usage and diagnostic information.
3. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies and similar technologies keep you signed in, remember preferences, recognize your browser, and protect your account. Some cookies remain for up to one year. Your browser may also store drafts and their attachments. You can clear this storage in your browser; blocking it may affect the service.
Services that support sign-in, payments, and fraud prevention may also use cookies for those purposes.
We use cookies and share advertising click identifiers, browser and device information, and purchase details (amount, currency, and transaction ID) with our advertising measurement provider to understand how our ads perform. This integration does not send your chats, images, name, or email. Contact hello@dreamedit.com with privacy questions or requests.
4. How we use information
We use information to run requests, save work, manage accounts and payments, answer support requests, send service emails, prevent fraud and abuse, fix problems, and meet legal obligations. Authorized personnel may access information for these purposes. We may send product news, tips, and offers with your consent or where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on performing our contract for the requested service, legitimate interests in security and reliability where permitted, legal obligations, and consent where required. Withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing features that need that information.
5. AI processing
We share relevant messages, images, and account identifiers with AI processing services to generate and edit images and provide chat responses. This includes any personal information in your content.
AI processing is subject to the AI service terms and model rules. Content retention, safety review, and use for training or model improvement vary by service. We do not promise zero retention or that every service excludes training. This does not remove our responsibilities under privacy law.
Do not submit sensitive personal information such as medical records, financial account numbers, or government identifiers. Only upload others' information or confidential material if you are authorized to have it processed this way.
6. Other sharing
Service providers help us host and operate DreamEdit, store data, process payments, deliver communications, support sign-in, and prevent fraud and abuse. They receive account, content, billing, or technical information as needed for their role.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary and lawful to meet legal requirements, investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, or complete a business sale subject to appropriate confidentiality protections. A successor remains subject to applicable privacy obligations.
7. Where information is processed
Information is processed in the United States and other countries, which may include China depending on the AI provider. Local laws may differ, and authorities there may lawfully access information. International transfers remain subject to applicable privacy requirements.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account information and content while needed to provide the service. Deleting a chat removes it from your account view but does not immediately erase all associated data. Contact us to request deletion or close your account.
We normally complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Limited records may remain for legal obligations, billing, fraud prevention, or disputes, as permitted by law. Backup copies may remain until overwritten; AI providers may have separate retention periods. We retain information only as long as necessary for these purposes.
9. Your choices and rights
You can update account details, delete chats, and download results in the app. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to or restrict certain uses.
Email hello@dreamedit.com to make a request or complaint. We may verify your identity and will respond within 30 days, or explain any extension or refusal allowed by law. You will not be penalized for exercising your rights. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local privacy authority.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, and misuse. Access by us and our providers is limited to the purposes described here. No system is completely secure. We will notify affected people and authorities of breaches when required by law.
11. Age requirement
DreamEdit is for people aged 18 or older. If someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to remove it.
12. Changes
We will post updates here and give notice of material changes by email or in the app. We will obtain consent before new uses or disclosures when the law requires it.
